Methods for determining molecular mass of at least 150 kDa of an analyte of interest using MALDI mass spec-trometry in combination with a recombinant von Willebrand factor (rVWF) molecular weight marker are disclosed. More specifi-cally, monomeric and multimeric rVWF are used for external and internal calibration of mass spectra applied for analytes having high molecular weights above 150 kDa.
La présente invention concerne des méthodes pour déterminer une masse moléculaire d'au moins 150 kDa d'un analyte d'intérêt en utilisant la spectrométrie de masse MALDI en combinaison avec un marqueur de poids moléculaire basé sur le facteur de von Willebrand (rVWF). Plus spécifiquement, des rVWF monomère et multimère sont utilisés pour l'étalonnage externe et interne de spectres de masse appliqués à des analytes ayant des poids moléculaires supérieurs à 150 kDa.
