The present invention relates to refractory articles for guiding or conveying a solidified material comprising a vitreous silica basis, in particular rollers or guiding elements and to a process for the manufacture of said articles which do not show the pickup problems normally observed with the articles of the art. The refractory articles of the invention comprise a vitreous bases and, homogeneously distributed therein, a carbonaceous material.

La présente invention concerne des articles réfractaires permettant de guider ou d'acheminer un matériau solidifié comprenant une base de silice vitreuse, en particulier des rouleaux ou des éléments de guidage, ainsi qu'un procédé permettant de fabriquer de tels articles, lesquels ne présentent pas les problèmes de ramassage généralement observés avec les articles de l'art antérieur. Les articles réfractaires décrits dans cette invention comprennent une base vitreuse et un matériau carboné réparti de manière homogène à l'intérieur de ladite base.
