Abstract For the transport of widths or sheets of piper roller is suggested which comprises a roller body with a cylindrical casing and a bushing (1) which is surrounded by the casing. The roller body has a coaxial clearance into which a shaft (3) is pressed whilst expanding. The inside of the bushing (1) which limits the clearance is provided with protrusions (2) which are evenly spaced over its circumference and which extend in the axial direction and face inwards. When pressing the shaft (3) into the bushing (1) of the roller body the protrusions (2) are forced to move radially outwards and effect a rotationally secure connection of the roller body to the shaft (3).
