ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In a rotary drive apparatus for a disk, wherein the disk being mounted on a turntable, a central pin arranged in the center of the turntable and a drive pin arranged in a position away from this center of the turntable are respec- tively inserted in a central hole of the disk and a drive hole formed at a position away from the central hole of the disk, and the disk being driven by the drive pin due to rotation of the turntable, the drive hole of the disk is urged in a direction of being away from the center of the turntable by the drive pin, so that the periphery of the central pin may be pushed against the edge of the central hole, and the center of the disk may coincide with that of the turntable, the drive pin of this apparatus is moved in direction opposite to the rotating direction of the turntable and simultaneously in the direction of being gradually away from the center of the turntable, when the disk is driven by the drive pin, thereby a force that moves the drive hole of the disk in the direction of being away from the center of the turntable is increased in proportion to a torque loaded on the disk, and as the result, it becomes possible always without necessity of placing the upper limit of the torque, to set the disk so that the center of the disk may coincide accurately and surely with that of the turntable.
