ABSTRACT In the game of baseball, softball, slowpitch and the like; in many occurrences the bases are strapped to pegs driven into the ground. In this invention a Hook and Loop system (eg. Velcro) is attached to the underside of a baseball base and the top side of a beveled rubber base pad which is anchored to the ground by a steel spike. The baseball base can be attached and detached to and from the rubber base pad quickly and easily. This method of securing the baseball base is safer in that when a base runner slides into a base the base will dislodge easily; thereby preventing foot and leg injuries.
