A glassware manufacturing system in which hot glass containers from an individual section machine are directed by an endless conveyor through a container inspection station. A container to be removed from the conveyor is identified by the inspection equipment for calibration purposes. An air jet is controlled by the inspection equipment for selectively removing the container from the conveyor into a trap, within which a progressively increasing force is applied to the container for arresting motion of the container without physical damage. The container may then be removed from the trap by an operator for manual inspection to calibrate the inspection equipment.
La présente méthode vise un système de fabrication d'objets en verre selon lequel des récipients de verre chaud sont acheminés par un transporteur sans fin d'une section précise d'une machine à un poste d'inspection des récipients. Tout récipient devant être retiré du transporteur sera repéré par le matériel d'inspection en vue de son étalonnage. Un jet d'air est commandé par ce dernier matériel pour déplacer de façon sélective certains récipients qui passeront du transporteur sans fin à un logement où ils seront soumis à une force croissante appliquée dans le but de les immobiliser sans les déformer. Les récipients peuvent ensuite être retirés du logement par un opérateur qui effectuera une inspection manuelle en vue d'étalonner le poste d'inspection mécanique.
