An alarm interface module is described that permits an alarm monitoring system to be operational through an existing wide area network (WAN) modem that is linked to an existing local area network (LAN) system wherein the alarm interface module has a first LAN port coupled to the LAN system, a second LAN port coupled to an output port of an alarm control panel of the alarm monitoring system, a WAN port coupled to the WAN modem, and a programming element capable of recognizing an identifying address dynamically assigned to the alarm control panels to route data from a remote alarm server to the alarm control panel while also permitting data communications to the LAN system from the WAN modem that are not initiated from the remote alarm server. The security system interface module of the present invention can be used with any security alarm panels, sensors, video devices, etc.
L'invention concerne un module d'interface d'alarme, qui permet à un système de surveillance par alarme d'être opérationnel par l'intermédiaire d'un modem de réseau étendu existant (WAN) qui est relié à un système de réseau local existant (LAN), le module d'interface d'alarme ayant un premier port LAN couplé au système LAN, un second port LAN couplé à un port de sortie d'un panneau de commande d'alarme du système de surveillance par alarme, un port WAN couplé au modem WAN, et un moyen de programmation capable de reconnaître une adresse d'identification attribuée de manière dynamique au panneau de commande d'alarme pour router des données d'un serveur d'alarme distant au panneau de commande d'alarme tout en permettant également des communications de données audit système LAN à partir dudit modem WAN qui ne sont pas initiées à partir du système d'alarme distant. Le module d'interface de système de sécurité de la présente invention peut être utilisé avec n'importe quels panneaux d'alarme de sécurité, détecteurs, dispositifs vidéo, etc.
