An inflatable sport ball (10), such as a basketball, a football, a soccer ball, a volley ball or a playground ball, is provided with self-contained inflation means for inflating or more likely adding pressure to the ball. The inflation means is a vessel (22) inside of the ball containing a high pressure gas which may be bled from the vessel into the interior of the ball surrounding the vessel such as by valve means operable from the outside of the ball.

L'invention concerne un ballon de sport gonflable (10), par exemple un ballon de basket-ball, de football américain, de football anglais, de volley-ball ou de terrain de jeux, pourvu d'un dispositif de gonflage incorporé, permettant de gonfler ce ballon ou, plus précisément, d'en augmenter la pression. Il s'agit d'un récipient (22) placé à l'intérieur du ballon renfermant un gaz sous haute pression susceptible de diffuser du récipient vers l'intérieur du ballon entourant ledit récipient, par exemple au moyen d'une soupape que l'on peut actionner de l'extérieur du ballon.
