A self-modulating ceiling air diffuser is described which affords personal control of the temperature in a room space by temperature sensing means providing constant feedback to a DDC controller located in the diffuser and operable to control the diffuser response through adaptive PID control algorithms. The diffuser is thereby precisely modulated in proportions to the requirements of the space and the occupant therein.
