A system and method for connecting a traditional air chute (34) to an air hose (40) delivering preconditioned air to an aircraft includes an adapter system. The adapter system includes a flexible stage (36) having an exterior surrounding a hollow interior configured to receive air from the air hose and deliver the air to the air chute. The adapter system also includes a rotational stage (38) coupled to the flexible stage (36) and having an exterior surrounding a hollow interior configured to receive air from the air hose and deliver the air to the air chute. The flexible stage (36) is adjustable relative to the rotational stage (38) to selectively move the hollow interior of the flexible stage between extending along a common axis through the air chute and the rotational stage and not extending along the common axis.
L'invention concerne un système et un procédé pour relier un conduit d'éjection d'air traditionnel vers un tuyau d'air distribuant de l'air préconditionné à un aéronef, comprenant un système d'adaptation. Le système d'adaptation comprend un étage flexible présentant un extérieur entourant un intérieur creux configuré de manière à recevoir de l'air depuis le tuyau d'air et à distribuer l'air au conduit d'éjection d'air.
