ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A tape for seams in drywall constructions comprises an elongated paper tape member having a pattern of holes therein. The holes are aligned in rows extending across the width of the tape with one row being spaced from the other along the length of the tape. An acrylic adhesive is applied to one surface of the tape so that it can be attached by the adhesive to a drywall seam. Compound placed onto the outer surface of the tape penetrates the perforations, holding the tape to the seam.
