26 IM-0506 TITLE IMPROVED SENSITIZATION OF TABULAR GRAINS WITH A ZEROMETHINE DYE AND A TETRAAZAINDENE ABSTRACT The sensitization of tabular grain silver halide emulsions is greatly enhanced by the synergistic use of a particular zeromethine dye combined with a tetraazaindene compound. Chemical sensitization with sulfur compounds is also enhanced by this combination of ingredients which can not only yield reduced dye stain to the finished product but which can improve both spectral and chemical sensitometry.
