The problem of maintaining a shower curtain against the wall of the bathtub/ shower enclosure while showering is inexpensively and effectively solved by use of the invention which holds approximately six inches on the end of the shower curtain against the wall of the bathtub/ shower enclosure. A preferred aspect of the invention comprises a wall member which may be double-sided taped or screwed to the wall of the bathtub/ shower enclosure and which has one end portion connected to a rod member. The rod member has a fastening means on its other opposite end portion by which it is held to the curtain rod. In use two rings on the shower curtain are hung over cylindrical pegs which extend upwardly from the members of the Shower Curtain Rod Extender. Shower water spray is effectively prevented from passing between the wall of the bathtub/ shower enclosure and the shower curtain.
