A positive pressure gas valve and closure member for a valve employing a valve insert and a valve seat molded to shape and bonded to the valve insert. A retaining member having a socket-like space defined therewithin to slideably receive said valve insert. The valve body having a further socket-like space to receive said retaining member and a passageway defined therein, coaxial with an opening into the further socket-like space. The passageway has a surface against which the valve seat seats. Additionally, the present invention relates to a method of making the closing means including molding and bonding a valve seat to a valve insert.
