Title: Improvements in Sight Glasses ABSTRACT A sight glass for use with a metal bowl of a compressed air filter or lubricator comprises a rectangular chamber having a rear, brightly coloured wall and a front, transparent window formed internally with small triangular pyramids. The pyramids retro-reflect light at an air interface but transmit it to the brightly coloured wall at a liquid interface. An image comprising a brightly coloured band and a colourless band therefore appears in the window, the readily visible interface between the bands corresponding with the liquid level in the bowl.
