ABSTRACT There is disclosed a silver halide light-sensitive material having a high sensitivity, reduced fog and excellent granular- ity. The light-sensitive material contains monodispersed sil- ver halide emulsion consisting mainly of twinned silver halide grains, wherein the twinned silver halide grains comprise: a. a high silver iodide content phase in the center thereof; b. an aspect ratio of less than 3; c. mainly {111} planes; and d. parallel twinned planes of an even number in a ratio of 50 % or more by number based on the total twinned grains.
