ABSTRACT The present invention relates to sizing compositions for coating glass fibers, as well as similarly-coated fiber, to protect them against abrasion during standard textile operations. Glass fibers, as is known, are made by the attenuation of small molten threads flowing from the holes of a threading-die or bushing. These glass threads are thinned out to form continuous filaments in an attenuating process, by winding the filaments, after they have been collected into a thread, onto a spool turning at a very high speed. before being collected into a thread, the filaments are coated with a using by passing through a continuously-fed sizing device.
