A sol-gel process for preparing a mixture of metal-oxide-metal compounds wherein at least one metal oxide precursor is subjected to a hydrolysis treatment to obtain one or more corresponding metal oxide hydroxides, the metal oxide hydroxides so obtained are subjected to a condensation treatment to form the metal- oxide- metal compounds, which process is carried out in the presence of an encapsulated catalyst, whereby the catalytically active species is released from the encapsulating unit by exposure to an external stimulus, and wherein the catalytically active species released after exposure to such external stimulus is capable of catalyzing the condensation of the metal-hydroxide groups that are present in the metal oxide hydroxides so obtained.

La présente invention concerne un procédé sol-gel de préparation d'un mélange pour composés métal-oxyde-métal, dans lequel au moins un précurseur d'oxyde métallique est soumis à un traitement par hydrolyse en vue de l'obtention d'un ou de plusieurs hydroxydes d'oxyde métallique correspondants, lesdits hydroxydes d'oxyde métallique ainsi obtenus étant ensuite soumis à un traitement par condensation en vue de l'obtention desdits composés métal-oxyde-métal, ledit procédé étant réalisé en présence d'un catalyseur encapsulé. L'espèce active d'un point de vue catalytique est libérée de l'unité d'encapsulation suite à l'exposition de cette dernière à un stimulus extérieur, et ladite espèce active d'un point de vue catalytique libérée suite à l'exposition audit stimulus extérieur est capable de catalyser la condensation de groupes métal-hydroxyde présents dans les hydroxydes d'oxyde métallique ainsi obtenus.
