A heated therapeutic spa (10) which comprises a spa tub containing water and having plumbing attached thereto, the tub having a wall (13) which is a relatively good thermal conductor; a thermally efficient, insulating container comprising a load bearing outer wall (12), and a bottom wall (94); a plenum chamber (15) formed between the tub wall (13) and the container wall (12) and extending about the tub wall (13); a motor (17) and pump (18) supplying circulating water to the tub and extending in the plenum chamber; a fan (19) located to circulate air that converts heat from the motor into hot air exhausted into the plenum chamber; the fan operating to force the hot exhaust air to circulate around the tub wall, whereby the temperature of the air drops in flowing about the tub wall before returning to the motor.
Cette cuve thermale thérapeutique chauffée se compose d'une cuve contenant de l'eau, sur laquelle on a fixé des éléments de plomberie et qui présente une paroi constituant un conducteur thermique relativement bon; elle comporte également un contenant isolant, efficace sur le plan thermique et doté d'une paroi extérieure de support de charge et d'une paroi inférieure, une chambre de répartition d'air formée entre la paroi de la cuve et la paroi du contenant et s'étendant autour de la paroi de la cuve, un moteur et une pompe fournissant l'eau de circulation à la cuve et s'étendant dans la chambre de répartition d'air, un ventilateur monté pour faire circuler l'air qui transforme la chaleur provenant du moteur en air chaud évacué dans la chambre, le ventilateur fonctionnant pour forcer l'air d'échappement chaud à circuler autour de la paroi de la cuve; ainsi la température de l'air s'abaisse lors de la circulation de celui-ci le long de la paroi de la cuve, avant que cet air ne retourne vers le moteur.
