There is provided a spray containment system for use in containing non-adhering spray, or overspray, during the surface treatment of a moving surface, using a spray system, the system comprising a suction device sized and shaped to provide suction across at least a portion of the width of the moving surface to remove non-adhering spray, and an air source, to provide a jet of air across at least a portion of the width of the moving surface, the jet of air being sized and shaped so as to channel overspray towards the suction device, where it is drawn into the suction device. The spray containment system may further contain a condenser and collector to condense and collect the overspray, so that the collected overspray can be discarded, further processed, or re-used.
