The invention describes a process for stabilizing an organic material against oxidative, ther- mal or light-induced degradation, which comprises incorporating therein or applying thereto at least a compound of the formula (I) wherein the general symbols are as defined in claim 1. The compounds of the formula I are especially useful as processing stabilizers for synthetic polymers.

L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de stabiliser un matériau organique afin d'empêcher sa dégradation oxydative, thermique ou causée par la lumière. Ce procédé consiste à incorporer au matériau ou à appliquer sur le matériau au moins un composé représenté par la formule (I). Les symboles généraux correspondent aux définitions figurant dans la revendication 1. Les composés de formule I sont particulièrement indiqués en tant que stabilisateurs de traitement pour les polymères de synthèse.
