ABSTRACT A compound for stabilizing a solution of a radiolabeled organic compound that is subject to radiolytic degradation against such degradation comprises a substantially insoluble substrate having pendant quaternary ammonium and optionally sulfide groups; the solution of the radiolabeled organic compound is maintained in contact with the compound having pendant quaternary ammonium groups, thereby stabilizing the radiolabeled organic compound against such degradation.
