ABSTRACT A feeder is provided for supplying molten mineral material in the form of streams. The feeder comprises upwardly extending sidewalls, a bottom wall extending between the sidewalls, the bottom wall having a plurality of orifices through which molten mineral material is supplied in the form of streams, and bottom wall supporting means comprising a member extending between the bottom wall and a first sidewall, the member being generally in spaced apart relationship with the bottom wall and the sidewall except at the end regions of the member.
