STRIPPING DEVICE FOR ROTARY FILTERS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: An improved stripping device effectively strips filter cake from the belt of a rotary belt filter while avoiding damage to the belt comprises a cross bar type body which extends transversely to the filter belt and on which scrapers for the belt directed towards the belt are fixed, the improvement comprises said cross bar type of body being part of a tilting device which pivots about a transverse shaft arranged parallel to the cross bar type of body and is subjected to force in the form of a weight whose center of gravity is between the transverse shaft and the belt and which acts against the direction of movement of the belt, and in that a stop means acting against the direction of the force.
