ABSTRACT The new Suction Cup Clamp Hanger uses a suction cup and the attraction of two magnets to generate a friction force, to hang up posters and placards to windows or other high gloss surfaces. The device does not deteriorate the sign material or the mounting surface. The device keeps the sign at a certain distance from the window to allow air circulation between the placard and the mounting surface. The new clamp can retain placards made of paper, cardboard, plastic, metal, glass, wood and composites. The clamp is opened by peeling the flexible magnetic strips apart. The holding force of the clamp depends on the thickness of the placard and the dimensions of the magnets. Several clamp hangers can be used to hang up heavier signs.
