The present invention generally relates to surgical clips. A surgical clip comprises a first piece comprising a first base and a first projection extending from the first base, a second piece comprising a second base, a second projection extending from the second base wherein the second projection further comprises a top surface, at least one side surface and a bottom surface, the surfaces defining a reservoir therein, and the first and the second piece are detachably connectable. In a preferred embodiment, the reservoir is self-releasing to deliver therapeutic materials when the first piece and second piece are connected.

L'invention concerne de manière générale des pinces chirurgicales. Selon l'invention, une pince chirurgicale comporte: une première partie comprenant une première base et une première saillie s'étendant depuis la première base; et une seconde partie comprenant une seconde base et une seconde saillie s'étendant depuis la seconde base. Ladite seconde saillie comprend en outre une surface supérieure, au moins une surface latérale et une surface inférieure; un réservoir étant défini entre lesdites surfaces. Lesdites première et seconde partie peuvent être raccordées amovibles. Dans un mode de réalisation préféré, ledit réservoir est de type à libération automatique de façon à administrer des matériaux thérapeutiques lorsque la première et la seconde partie sont raccordées.
