A surgical instrument (22) for irrigating a frontal sinus target site of a patient including a handle, an introducer (42), an irrigation channel (60), a nozzle (44), and an actuator assembly (46). The introducer extends from the handle and defines a proximal segment and a distal segment. At least a portion of the proximal segment (110) is rigid and linear and at least a portion ofthe distal segment (112) is rigid and relatively curved. The nozzle is fluidly connected to the irrigation channel, and is rotatably maintained at a distal end (114) of the introducer. The actuator assembly includes an actuator (140) maintained by the handle and connected to the nozzle. Movement of the actuator causes the nozzle to rotate relative to the introducer. The introducer can be sized and shaped in accordance with a size and shape of the nasal passageway/frontal sinus of a human adult.
L'invention porte sur un instrument chirurgical (22), pour laver un site cible du sinus frontal d'un patient, qui comprend un manche, un introducteur (42), un canal de lavage (60), une buse (44) et un ensemble actionneur (46). L'introducteur s'étend à partir du manche et définit un segment proximal et un segment distal. Au moins une partie du segment proximal (110) est rigide et linéaire, et au moins une partie du segment distal (112) est rigide et relativement incurvée.
