A water soluble preservative admixture of biocidal compounds for addition to commercial use compositions at predetermined use levels, and uniformly distributed therein, to provide long-time synergistic biocidal activity against a wide range of fungi and both gram- negative and gram-positive bacteria, which comprises powders of (a) one or more methylol compounds, or their equivalents, and (b) iodopropynyl alcohol, or its ester, carmabate or ether derivative thereof, in a weight ratio of (a):(b) of 100:1 to 2000:1.
Mélange conservateur hydrosoluble de composés biocides destiné à être ajouté à des compositions à usage commercial à des niveaux d'utilisation prédéterminés, et réparti uniformément dans lesdites compositions. Ledit mélange fournit une activité biocide synergique à long terme contre une large gamme de champignons et de bactéries tant Gram négatif que Gram positif et contient des poudres de (a) un ou plusieurs composés méthylol ou leurs équivalents et (b) de l'alcool iodopropynylique ou son dérivé ester, carbamate ou éther dans un rapport pondéral (a)/(b) de 100/1 à 000/1.
