The invention relates to a system for selectively injecting a fluid by means of a needle-free injection or an injection with a needle. Said system comprises an injection device (110) encompassing a vial (112) for accommodating the fluid that is to be injected, a discharge port (124), and at least one arranged coupling element (128) of a coupling mechanism which is configured so as to sealingly and reversibly mount a needle attachment (150), the vile being rounded in the area of the discharge port, and said rounded area forming a skin contact surface (126) for the needle-free injection through or into the human skin. The inventive system further comprises a needle attachment with a cannula part (152) encompassing a needle (156), and an adapter part (154) that proximally adjoins the cannula part. The disclosed system is characterized in that the needle attachment is embodied in two parts such that the needle attachment can be reversibly divided into the cannula part and the adapter part.
