A computer system for reading encrypted information is disclosed. A unit (24) for decrypting the information is open only as long as a display tool (A4) occupies a system-modal operative mode (SM). In this system-modal operative mode, the display tool (A4) emits, to the decrypting unit (24), a predetermined enabling signal (BS) without which the decrypting function does not work. When the display tool occupies the system-modal operative mode, the user does not have access to the user functions not defined by the display tool, thereby preventing unauthorised copying, storage and the like of the decrypted information.
L'invention a pour objet un système de lecture d'informations cryptées. Une unité (24) destinée à décrypter les informations reste uniquement opérationnelle aussi longtemps qu'un dispositif d'affichage (A4) reste en mode de fonctionnement "système" (SM). Selon ce mode de fonctionnement, le dispositif d'affichage (A4) émet en direction de l'unité de décryptage un signal de validation prédéterminé (BS) indispensable au fonctionnement de l'unité de décryptage. Lorsque le dispositif d'affichage est en mode de fonctionnement "système", l'utilisateur n'a pas accès aux fonctions utilisateur non définies par le dispositif d'affichage, empêchant ainsi la copie, la mise en mémoire ou autres opérations non autorisées relatives aux informations décryptées.
