ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: A T-shaped tube made of rubber or rubber-like material, with an embedded reinforcing insert made of fabric or a similar fibrous material of high load-carrying ability in which a vulcanized branch-tube piece is secured by one end to the opening in the wall of an also vulcanized main tube. The connecting area on the inside of the branch-tube is lined with a sleeve of polyamide or some other viscoplastic synthetic material, the flange-like edge of the said sleeve bearing against the cylindrical inner wall of the main tube. The essence of this T-shaped tube is that the sleeve exhibits, in the vicinity of the flange, on the outside, a wide annular recess, the outer edge of the flange being curved back axially and forming a flat groove. The annular recess and flat groove, at the edge of the flange, are filled by injecting a caoutchouc mix which is still vulcanizable.
