A plastic container closure has a skirt (29) which is connected to a tamper-evidencing band (33) by frangible bridges (38), all molded in a single unit. Where the closure is a cap for a container neck, there is at least one retaining means on the skirt (31) and another on the band (34). The neck has two retaining means (21, 16) which cooperate with those on the cap to prevent upward movement of the cap without fracture of the bridges (38). To reduce the likelihood of unitentional fracture of the bridges (38), particularly during installation of the cap on the neck, plural ejection bumpers (36) of extended arcuate lengths are located on the top edge of the band or from the bottom edge of the skirt and the bridges (38) are located between the bumpers. This tamper-evidencing band is applicable to closures of push/pull-type spouts or sports-type cap spouts.

L'invention décrit une bande de garantie (33) qui se fixe à la jupe (29) d'un couvercle de récipient en plastique au moyen de languettes destructibles (38), le tout formant un ensemble solidaire. Si le couvercle doit s'adapter au goulot du récipient, au moins deux dispositifs de retenue sont utilisés, l'un sur la jupe (31), l'autre sur la bande (34). Le goulot est muni de deux dispositifs de retenue (21, 16) qui fonctionnent en combinaison avec ceux montés sur le couvercle de sorte que le couvercle ne puisse être tiré vers le haut sans entraîner la rupture des languettes (38). Pour réduire les risques de rupture accidentelle des languettes (38), notamment au moment de la mise en place du couvercle sur le goulot, la bande est munie de plusieurs butées d'éjection (36), arciformes en extension, situées sur le bord supérieur de la bande ou partant du bord inférieur de la jupe, les languettes (38) étant logés entre ces butées. Cette bande de garantie (33) peut équiper des couvercles à tirette ou des becs verseurs des types utilisés par les sportifs.
