Oil lamps are popularly employed to provide candle lighting using a wicked oil cartridge containing liquid paraffin oil or similar flammable liquid. Such liquids, most known to contain toxic elements, can be replaced by safer, cleaner, and more efficient wax candles. The device provides a method for adapting a tea light or wax candle to an existing oil lamp, thus replacing the oil cartridge and obviating the need to replace the oil lamp where such conversion is desired.
