A hand-held unit for applying identifying microdots mixed within an adhesive base fluid, comprises a housing which mounts a container for the mixture and a canister of propellant gas. When an outlet valve of the canister is depressed, propellant gas flows from the canister into a nozzle whereby mixture is drawn from the container for discharge through that nozzle for application of the mixture to an article, a vehicle for example, for identification purposes.

La présente invention concerne une unité manuelle destinée à l~application de micropoints d~identification mélangés dans un fluide à base d~adhésif. Ladite unité comprend un logement qui supporte un récipient destiné au mélange et une cartouche de gaz propulseur. Lorsqu~un clapet de refoulement de la cartouche est soumis à une dépression, le gaz propulseur sort de la cartouche et entre dans une buse. Le mélange est alors extrait du récipient afin d~être évacué par la buse et appliqué sur un article, un véhicule par exemple, à des fins d~identification.
