This invention is designed as a training guide to master the skill of putting using the Pendulum Stroke. Many golfers often have a difficult time mastering the concept of effective putting, because they fail to; .cndot. Keep the putter head square to the ball at impact. .cndot. Allow the left wrist to break down at impact (left wrist for right- handed golfer, right wrist for left handed golfer.) This problem causes the putter head to behave erratically. .cndot. Judge distance correctly. Many golfers take the club back too far and then decelerate in the downswing and then jab at the ball with almost no follow through. The Perfect Putt addresses all of these problems and teaches the golfer to master a smooth continuous stroke, while developing the feel for "The Perfect Putt". With the Pendulum Stroke, the hands and wrists remain still, while the action comes from the shoulders. Gently rock the arms back and forth to produce a smooth and controlled stroke, keeping the lower part of the body quiet. To achieve the perfect putt; .cndot. Golfer places the putter between the Plexiglass rails directly and squarely behind the ball. .cndot. Golfer now addresses the ball, eyes directly over the ball, hands slightly ahead of ball. .cndot. Golfer now executes the pendulum stroke. Since the putter is being guided between the rails, the putter remains square at all times allowing the golfer to concentrate on smoothly accelerating the putter squarely through impact. The colour co-ordinated numbers on the adjusting rail will aid the golfer in determining the correct back swing which is equal to the follow through. With practice the golfer will develop the muscle memory, technique and knowledge to become an excellent putter.
