A tilt mechanism (1) for tilting objects ( such as outboard motors) connected thereto including at least one side mounting bracket (2) supporting a backing plate (3). The backing plate (3) has a lower operational position (4) and a raised storage position (5). An adjustable connection arrangement (11, 12, 6a, 20) is provided connecting the backing plate (3) to the at least one side mounting bracket (2). The adjustable connection arrangement includes first (6a) and a second (6b) adjustable connection points which are restrained to each travel in arcuate paths (7, 8) during movements of the backing plate (3) between the operational and storage positions. When in the operational position, the force due to gravity on the backing plate produces biasing forces about the respective adjustable connection points in opposite directions (9, 10) along the arcuate paths thereby providing an automatic raising function.
Cette invention se rapporte à un mécanisme de basculement (1) servant à faire basculer des objets (tels que des moteurs hors-bord) qui lui sont reliés, ce mécanisme comprenant au moins une paroi de montage latérale (2) servant de support à une plaque d'appui (3). La plaque d'appui (3) peut occuper une position déployée basse (4) et une position escamotée haute (5). Un système de liaison réglable (11, 12, 6a, 20) est prévu pour relier la plaque d'appui (3) à la paroi ou aux parois de montage latérales (2). Ce système de liaison réglable comprend un premier (6a) et un second point de liaison réglable (6b) dont le mouvement est limité à des trajets en arc (7, 8), lors du passage de la plaque d'appui (3) de la position déployée à la position escamotée et vice versa. Lorsque la plaque d'appui est en position déployée, la force de gravité s'exerçant sur la plaque d'appui produit des forces de sollicitation s'exerçant autour des points de liaison réglables correspondants dans des directions opposées (9, 10) le long des trajets en arc, conférant ainsi à la plaque d'appui une fonction d'élévation automatique.
