Tinted glass compositions for manufacturing glazing which is suitable for motor vehicles, particularly silica-soda-lime glass having a lower total energy transmissivity (TE) than light transmittance under illuminant A (TLA), wherein TE is 10-48 % and TLA is 20-60 % for glass 3.85 mm thick. Said glass includes 0.45 -2.5 % wt. of Fe2O3 (total iron), 0.001-0.02 % wt. of CoO, 0-0.0025 % wt. of Se and 0-0.1 % wt. of Cr2O3 as the tinting agents.

L'invention concerne des compositions de verres colorés destinés à la fabrication de vitrages susceptibles d'être montés sur un véhicule automobile. Il s'agit de verres silico-sodo-calciques ayant un facteur de transmission énergétique globale (TE) infé- rieur au facteur de transmission lumineuse sous illuminant A(TLA), le facteur TE étant compris entre l0 et 48 % et le facteur TLA entre 20 et 60% pour une épaisseur de 3,85 mm; ces verres comprennent (on % en poids) à titre d'agents colorants de 0,45 à 2,5 % de Fe2O3 (fer total), de 0,001 à 0,02% de Co0, de 0 à 0,0025% de Se et de 0 à 0,1% de Cr2O3.
