Supports for Fischer-Tropsch catalysts with increased strength and attrition resistance are formed by incorporating both silica and alumina into a support comprised primarily of titania; whereupon Fischer- Tropsch active metals can be composited with the support; the catalysts being particularly useful in slurry reactions.
Selon l'invention, des supports destinés à des catalyseurs de Fischer-Tropsch, présentant une solidité et une résistance à l'usure améliorées, sont formés par ajout de silice et d'alumine dans un support constitué principalement d'oxyde de titane, puis les métaux actifs destinés à la synthèse de Fischer-Tropsch sont ajoutés de façon composite au support. Lesdits catalyseurs sont particulièrement utiles pour des réactions conduites avec des bouillies.
