In the case of conventional toothbrushes whose bristles have all needlelike tapering tips, the bristles near tips becomes too flexible because they are too thin. On the other hand, in the case of toothbrushes whose bristle ends being rounded or hemispherical, it is difficult to go into the spaces between teeth or boundary spaces between teeth and gums. Thus, it is difficult for conventional toothbrushes to clean up in every nook and corner in the mouth. A toothbrush comprising a block head having brush portion, a handle and a neck portion connecting said block head with the handle, wherein a part of said tufts of the brush portion are made up of filament with polygonal cross section, and the rest of the tufts are made up of sheath-core structural filament whose core material is covered with sheath material so that the cross section thereof is concentric circles.

Dans le cas de brosses à dents classiques dont les poils ont tous des pointes effilées en aiguilles, les poils deviennent trop souples près des pointes parce qu'ils sont trop minces. Toutefois, dans le cas des brosses à dents dont l'extrémité des poils est arrondie ou hémisphérique, il est difficile d'atteindre les zones entre les dents ou les endroits limites se trouvant entre les dents et les gencives. Il est donc difficile de nettoyer chaque coin et recoin de la bouche à l'aide d'une brosse à dents classique. L'invention porte donc sur une brosse à dents comportant un bloc-tête composé d'une partie brosse, d'un manche et d'un col reliant le bloc-tête au manche. Une partie des touffes sur la partie brosse est composée de filaments dont la coupe transversale est polygonale. Le reste des touffes est fait de filaments structurels à âme enrobée d'une gaine, de sorte que leur coupe transversale représente des cercles concentriques.
