The compounds are presynaptic dopamine agonists and may be used in pharma- ceutical composition form for treating psychoses, e.g., schizophrenia. The compounds have the general formula: Image wherein R is hydrogen, lower alkyl or aryllower alkyl; X is hydroxy, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, halogen, or benzyloxy, or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof.
