ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A transparent container inspection apparatus having a light source for irradiating a transparent container from its one side, a video camera placed so that it will not directly receive the irradiated light from the light source and for picking up an image of the container, an image processor for processing the output image signal from the video camera, and a non-light reflection plate placed at the counter side of the video camera with respect to the container. A transparent container inspection apparatus having in addition to the above-mentioned elements a light diffusion plate located in front of the light source.
