ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention provides a method and composition for substantially reducing color in transparent soap bars. Color reduction is achieved by combining in critical ratio a sulphur and a hydride type reducing agent such as sodium metabisulfite with sodium borohydride.
