A plastic trim strip (10) for use with high pressure plastic laminate (HPL) modules (14) or other decorative modules used on access flooring (16). The strip is extruded polyvinyl chloride or other polymeric or other material such as decorative metals such as brass or aluminum. The cross sectional shape of the strip (10) is generally rectangular with a rectangular tab (20) that: protrudes from one of the narrow edges of the rectangle, is thinner than the height of the strip (10), and has one surface flush with the bottom of the strip (10). A portion of the edge of the HPL (14) or other floor covering with which the strip (10) is used, and having the same shape as the tab (20), is routed or otherwise removed from the floor covering. The protruding tab (20) of the trim strip (10) is then "captured" within this rabbet (18) with or without adhesive, thereby securely engaging the trim strip (10) when the floor covering is installed on or bonded to the access flooring structure (16).

La baguette est en chlorure de polyvinyle extrudé ou en une autre matière polymère ou bien elle est réalisée dans un autre matériau tel que des métaux décoratifs comme le laiton ou l'aluminium. La forme en coupe transversale de la baguette (10) est globalement rectangulaire avec une languette rectangulaire (20) qui: dépasse d'un des petits côtés du rectangle, est plus mince que la hauteur de la baguette (10) et qui comporte une surface affleurante avec la partie inférieure de la baguette (10). Une partie du bord du stratifié (14)plastique haute pression ou d'un autre revêtement de sol avec lequel on utilise la baguette (10), et qui a la même forme que la languette (20), est entaillée ou éliminée d'une autre manière du revêtement de sol. La languette saillante (20) de la baguette (10) de finition est ensuite "logée" dans cette rainure (18) avec ou sans adhésif, ceci ayant pour effet de bloquer la baguette (10) de finition lorsque le revêtement de sol est installé sur la structure (16) de revêtement de sol ou collé sur cette dernière.
