A method for enhancing the efficacy of chemotherapy and/or radiation in the treatment of cancer in animals, particularly humans, is provided wherein certain isocoumarin derivatives which exhibit unique radiosensitization activity and/or chemopotentiation properties are employed in a combination treatment with ionizing radiation and/or chemotherapy.
L'invention concerne un procédé d'augmentation de l'efficacité de chimiothérapie et/ou de radiothérapie dans le traitement de cancer, en particulier chez l'homme, grâce à l'utilisation de certains dérivés d'isocoumarine qui démontrent une activité unique de sensibilisation radiologique et/ou des propriétés de chimio-synergie dans un traitement combinant des rayonnements ionisants et/ou une chimiothérapie.
