A two-piece hardtop (1) for sport utility vehicles (2). The hardtop (1) has front and rear roof sections (3, 5) removably securable to each other. The front and rear sections (3, 5) have overlapping portions, each of which has an inverted U-shape with vertically extending legs (3", 5") and a horizontally extending base (3', 5') between them. The U-shapes nest together with side latches (15) being provided between adjacent legs (3", 5") of the front and rear sections (3, 5) to draw the two pieces vertically together and secure them in place. Other features include a sealing member (37', 37") that is provided between the nested roof sections (3, 5) and a gutter (41) that is created between the sealing member (37', 37") and the rear roof section (5). The gutter (41) helps to effectively direct water away from between the two roof sections (3, 5) and the vehicle (2). Additionally, an improved air vent is provided that allows air to flow out from the interior of the vehicle (2) without letting water enter the vehicle (2) through it.
La présente invention concerne un toit amovible en deux pièces (1), destiné aux véhicules utilitaires de sport (2). Ce toit amovible (1) présente une partie de toit avant (3) et une partie de toit arrière (5) qui peuvent être fixées l'une à l'autre de façon amovible.
