The invention concerns a tyre tread comprising a crosslinkable rubber composition including at least a styrene and a butadiene copolymer prepared in emulsion, and a method for improving the wear resistance of such a tread. The invention concerns a tyre tread comprising for the major part a white reinforcing filler as reinforcement filler. The inventive tyre tread comprises a crosslinkable rubber composition including at least a styrene and a butadiene copolymer prepared in emulsion and a reinforcing filler including as major component a white reinforcing filler, said white reinforcing filler being present in said composition in an amount not less that 40 parts per hundred parts of said or each polymeric elastomer. Said composition is characterised in that said or each copolymer comprising an emulsifier in an amount substantially varying between 1 to 3.5 parts per hundred parts of said or each elastomeric copolymer.
La présente invention concerne une bande de roulement de pneumatique comportant une composition de caoutchouc réticulable qui comprend au moins un copolymère de styrène et de butadiène préparé en émulsion, et un procédé pour améliorer la résistance à l'usure d'une telle bande de roulement. L'invention s'applique à une bande de roulement comportant majoritairement une charge blanche renforçante à titre de charge renforçante. Une bande de roulement de pneumatique selon l'invention comporte une composition de caoutchouc réticulable qui comprend, d'une part, au moins un copolymère élastomère de styrène et de butadiène préparé en émulsion et, d'autre part, une charge renforçante comprenant à titre majoritaire une charge blanche renforçante, ladite charge blanche renforçante étant présente dans ladite composition selon une quantité égale ou supérieure à 40 pce. Cette composition est telle que ledit ou chaque copolymère comprend un émulsifiant selon une quantité variant sensiblement de 1 à 3,5 pce (pce: parties en poids pour cent parties dudit ou de chaque copolymère élastomère).
