A handpiece having a set of longitudinally vibrating piezoelectric elements (21) and which may additionally have an electric motor (114) to provide rotational or oscillatory movement to the ultrasound horn. The piezoelectric elements (21) are surrounded by a high temperature plastic sleeve (39), and the sleeve is filled with high temperature potting material (141). The potting material seal the piezoelectric elements against moisture without affecting the performance of the piezoelectric elements.
L'invention concerne une pièce à main comportant un ensemble d'éléments piézo-électriques à vibrations longitudinales (21) et pouvant en outre être munie d'un moteur électrique (114) permettant de communiquer un mouvement de rotation ou d'oscillation à l'émetteur d'ultrasons. Les éléments piézo-électriques (21) sont enfermés dans un manchon en plastique à haute résistance thermique (39) dans lequel est versée une matière d'enrobage à haute résistance thermique (141). Ladite matière d'enrobage permet de protéger les éléments piézo-électriques contre l'humidité sans pour autant modifier leurs performances.
