ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention deals with UV crosslinkable copolymers, comprising: A) 99.5 to 75 weight percent of olefinic unsaturated monomers; B) 0.5 to 25 weight percent of unsaturated compounds having general structural formula I Image and, C) 0.01 to 10 weight percent of copolymerizable, olefinic unsaturated acetophenone derivatives and/or benzophenone derivatives, which have no phenyl groups having a free hydroxyl group in the ortho position relative to the carboxyl group, whereby: X is O, S or NR1; and, R is an optionally substituted C2- to C6-alkylene; and, R1 is C1- to C8-alkyl or phenyl. The copolymers of the present invention, following crosslinking, are suited as coating agents, impregnating agents, or as adhesives and most preferably as contact adhesives.
