An ultraviolet light absorber blend consisting of at least one compound selected from the group consisting of the hydroxyphenylbenzotriazoles and at least one compound selected from the group consisting of the hydroxybenzophenones, in a weight:weight ratio of about 4:1 to 1:4 is found to be particularly effective towards the protection of polymeric substrates against the deleterious effects of heat, oxygen and actinic radiation. The polymeric substrate in particular comprises polyvinylchloride (PVC) or a copolymer of PVC or a polymer blend comprising PVC, or polyacrylates or unsaturated polyesters.

La présente invention concerne un mélange d'absorbeurs de rayons ultraviolets constitués d'au moins un composé choisi dans le groupe constitué des hydroxyphénylbenzotriazoles et d'au moins un composé choisi dans le groupe constitué des hydroxybenzophénones, dans un rapport poids:poids allant d'environ 4:1 à 1:4, un mélange qui est particulièrement efficace pour la protection de substrats polymères contre les effets nuisibles de la chaleur, de l'oxygène et du rayonnement actinique. Le substrat polymère comprend, en particulier, du polychlorure de vinyle (PVC) ou un copolymère de PVC ou un mélange de polymères comprenant du PVC ou des polyacrylates ou des polyesters non saturés.
