UNIDIRECTIONAL FORCE GENERATOR ABSTRACT A device (8) for producing a unidirectional force may be used to propel a vehicle (10) or other body in one direction or to serve in other applications requiring such a force, The device uses at least one centrifugal force generator (20, 22, 24, 26) which repetitively provides al- ternately occurring prolonged centrifugal forces of opposite direction along a line fixed relative to the generator, As these forces are produced the generator is turned relative to a supporting carriage (12) so that each time such a force occurs it has a generally forward direction relative to the carriage. Two or more centrifugal force generators may be mounted on a single carriage and operated in synchronism and in proper phase relationship to one another to produce a forwardly directed force of relatively steady magnitude and/or to cancel force components directed perpendicular to the forward direction.
